Georgia Backyard Nature

Thanks for visiting. Wow--that's a lot of work, but kudos to you for your diligence in protecting native plants. The only native plants in my yard are a nice clump of exbury azaleas the builder left and the other natives I planted.

Mom planted Nandina here at my place ... and at long last I am getting around to ripping them out. I have woodlands that need protection - native plants that have #1priority... unfortunately, Nandina - though lovely - still it is an exotic invasive species.... and Birds spread its seed far and wide, infesting new areas and wild areas as well. I am also ripping out all of Mom's Vinca and Liriope.... Japanese Honeysuckle too and on and on - sigh. I did the Kudzu years ago but there is no rest for the weary!
