After, I wrote about my first Rose-breasted Grosbeak sighting, a fellow backyard birdwatcher who lives about 15 miles away sent this great picture of two males at his birdfeeder. Aren't the markings beautiful? These are the first Grosbeaks he's ever seen in his yard, too. I wonder if there's some subtle change in the migration path that put these colorful birds squarely in this part of Georgia--or were we just lucky to be watching at the right time?
Joe, thanks for visiting the site. I wish the Grosbeaks would visit my yard more often. Glad you were able to identify these beautiful birds.

I have two of these male grosbeaks visiting my feeders usually every morning and early evening.I was looking for the identity of these birds when I run across this site. I live in northeast Georgia in stephens county. Thanks for info..

Thanks. I haven't seen one in the yard again. I wish Grosbeaks were a year-round resident.
