Georgia Backyard Nature

I'm not sure he's gone, but I haven't seen him in a while. The upstream dams washed out in the recent thunderstorms and he hasn't rebuilt them. Even though he can be a pest, I will miss him--he's such a neat creature to have in your backyard.

He's a funny little guy, sorry to hear he moved . I know it was a blast to watch him.

Georgia Backyard Nature

He's incredible. I've only seen one beaver. This is about the time two year olds leave home to find their own territory. Since they don't mate until they're three, my guess is that he's creating the perfect place to attract a mate.

It's true that a picture is worth a thousand words. The changes in the landscape are truly amazing - even more so when you consider that it is the work of a beaver. Do you know if there is more than one beaver doing all the work?
